Holiday Inn Express Saugus (Logan Airport), an IHG Hotel

I stayed here for 21 days. I met the manager Kevin who is over the cleaning service. This place is spot on clean and smells delightful. Kevin checks the rooms to make sure they are well done and he is such a gentleman and very friendly and helpful. I'll take that any day. Kevin sure does know how to run this place. He works very hard and efficient. I was very blessed to have met him. Kevin goes above and beyond. Thank you very much for keeping my long stay comfortable. Spot on with the gentleman (Johnathan) who keeps up with the Breakfast and maintains it well, the tables and floor are so clean. The food and coffee is so hot and delicious. The food to be replaced was in a timely manner. Front staff was helpful and kind. I give the staff and hote and overall 10 star for excellence. Thank you Kevin. Blessings upon you all. 😃

The hotel is pretty nice. Not as nice as most holiday inn's I've stayed at. Staff is nice. My only issue (which is a big one) is the set up of the bathroom. The tub is raised up, so you have to step up into it, but it is also slippery. I almost fell getting out due to it being slippery and a big step down to get out. It is very dangerous in my opinion. I have never stayed at a holiday inn with a tub set up like this one. Be careful booking here if you are elderly or handicapped.

We booked this hotel for my trip to Salem… I’ve stayed at plenty of holiday inns before and never had issues so I went in expecting the same level of hospitality and cleanliness as I’ve received before. We arrived and there were tons of tree trucks all over the parking lot which left us with barley anywhere to park, I assume it’s due to the hurricane which is understandable I just wish we had received a heads up or the minimal parking. Also all of the workers were in front of the hotel all around the walk ways and door and in the lobby until almost 3 am to where there were so many people I was afraid to go out to my car alone as a woman. The room… the second we walked in we got smacked with the smell of mold, I’m highly allergic to mold but took an allergy pill since I was exhausted from traveling woke up super sick the next morning went to shower the shower did not look clean at all an the curtain was all ratted and gross looking, I ended up having to go sleep at our friends house whom we were visiting as my entire body was itchy. After the 2nd night I was so sick that I could no longer stay there anymore. Once I got back to the hotel I went to the front desk and told the girl working that there's definitely mold in the room and I had hives all over my body and was super sick and could not continue my stay. She said OK and checked me out and told me to leave my hotel key in the room, there was no questions asking what happened, or any type of reconciliation she literally said okay and checked me out i asked for an email showing that i was leaving earlier than i booked because of mold was told yes and never received anything. We should’ve known by how disgusting the front of the hotel was before even stepping into the room. do not recommend to anyone this hotel.
